Swedish Energy Agency assigned to promote Smart City Sweden

The Government of Sweden has assigned the Swedish Energy Agency to promote solutions for smart and sustainable cities through the demonstration platform Smart Cities Sweden.

The national platform Smart Cities Sweden was formed last year. It partly aims to fuel Swedish development of sustainable city solutions, and partly to act as a display window for Swedish export.

The Swedish Energy Agency is to fund and operate the platform. The goal is to not only to develop the activities of the platform, but also to broaden the focus area to include cleantech, energy, social sustainability, transport etc.
